Pulse check: His warm embrace

Then Jesus said, β€œCome to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28.

Are you tired of carrying burdens? Jesus said to come to Him. When we come to Jesus we lay everything down even ourselves at His feet. Don’t be afraid, your burden that seems so heavy is not heavy for Him. Jesus cannot be intimated by the things that intimidate us, He is Lord over everything.

If you ask me, I would say don’t just give Him your burden only but give Him yourself. If you give Him your burden alone and not yourself you won’t feel the fullness of the rest.

Jesus is ready for you. Enter His rest and feel His warm embrace. Jesus has nothing against you, He is not accusing you, He is not seeking your downfall, and He does not want to punish or condemn you. He is 100% for you.

The issues of this world can put you in a hard and cold place but in Jesus, you are free and warm. That is what He is offering you today; don’t reject His offer. Go to Him, give all of you to Him, and enter His rest. Stay blessed.

new things: it’s not too late

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:18-19 NIV

Here’s a truth about life; it’s not over until God says so, and it’s not finished until God says so! In drawing the curtain on what God has been saying in Isaiah 43:18-19, remember that you have a fresh start in God. God makes all things new – brand new, new slate vibes.

Don’t count yourself out of it, and don’t doubt what God can do with your life. You are precious and loved; you were thought of, uniquely made, and divinely appointed to be God’s own possession. Your life matters and your contribution to this earth matters a lot; in case you don’t know you are needed, and that is why God made you uniquely for a time like this.

I want to tell you it’s not over for you. Jesus can make you whole, and if you will allow Him, you will sprout out again. Jesus gives life and He restores broken people and broken things.

If you think something is out of place in your life, tell Him these words: Jesus, I welcome You into my life right now, and I accept You as The Way, The Truth, and The Life. I agree to everything You want me to be and may You restore my life to Your original plan. Thank You for loving me and for making me whole in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Friend, it’s not too late for you – you’re just getting started! πŸ™‚

new things: forget the past

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past, NIV. But forget all that it is nothing compared to what I am going to do, NLT. Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old, ESV. Isaiah 43:18

As much as this is so exciting for me, I can’t help but notice the command in these words: forget the former things; forget all that, remember not the former things – whether they were good or bad God says to forget them all because He’s doing a new thing. We can’t perceive what God wants to do if we are still holding on to the past, and we can’t do much if we are measuring today’s capacity to yesterday’s capacity. What is it that you must forget in your life? What has held you in the same place for a very long time? Can you release it to God and most importantly, release your life to Jesus?

Personally, I have to forget past failures and everything that didn’t work out the way they should have. I’m letting go of shame and the years I think I have lost and reaching toward what’s ahead of me. One thing is for sure, God will restore, and there is nothing that can stop that from happening.

Times like this bring us to a place of gratitude to God, because really, who are we to be restored, strengthened, and empowered by God Himself? When we give God praise despite everything, He raises us up and sets us with Himself. He restores joy, peace, and sound mind and He gives us the strength and boldness to move on – that’s how we’re able to shake off the past and press forward.

Friend, release yourself from your past. It does not matter what went wrong. God can fix it all – there is nothing God cannot fix; there’s nothing too broken that He cannot repair; and there is nothing lost that He cannot give back. If you believe this, forget the past as He has said, and be rest assured you’ll certainly thrive in the new seasons He’s bringing you into. Stay Blessed!

New things, same god

Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19.

We thank God for new beginnings! It’s a sign of refreshment and an opportunity to get it right and thrive yet again on a different horizon. Sometimes new things aren’t the most convenient, but they would come to stretch and make us stronger and ready for the next level.

Despite the changes around us, our God never changes; He’s always the same. His mercies are new and they never come to an end. God always has something in store, something to reveal, something to transform, and something to make happen.

If you’re reading this, then know that you have a new beginning. You have yet another chance, with God, it’s never too late unless you don’t want the change or the transformation. It’s as simple as saying yes and believing that He will do the new thing He said he would and a path will be made in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Again, God is the same but He brings us into new seasons – just trust that He will come through because His word is the same as He is.

Welcome to new things and new beginnings!
